Fast-Food Franchises Partner with the NFL to Bring Celebrity Endorsements and Special Offers
Updated September 4, 2024
With the 2024 NFL season upon us, fast-food chains are pulling out all the stops to connect with football fans and spectators alike. For example, Little Caesars, the official pizza sponsor of the NFL since 2022, is kicking off the football season with fee-free deliveries, the return of its Pizza!Pizza! Pregame deal, and a star-studded ad campaign featuring NFL stars like San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle and Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (above).
Fast-food franchises recognize the immense value of star power and the marketing opportunities of partnering with the NFL. With pro football games drawing an average of 17.9 million viewers weekly according to Statista, brands can expand their reach well before the Super Bowl. Plus, everyone wants to be the MVP of the watch party with the best wings, pizza and more!
Here’s a look at the exciting specials, promotions and celebrity partnerships that fast-food franchises have lined up for the 2024 NFL football season.
Auntie Anne’s
Pretzels and football are a fan-favorite combination, and Auntie Anne’s is making the 2024 NFL season even better by partnering with Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson (above), who co-founded the Bijan Mustardson mustard brand. Through November 30, NFL fans can elevate their watch parties by ordering limited-edition Bijan Mustardson dip cups at select Auntie Anne’s locations.
Bar Louie
To get into the end zone for the 2024 NFL season, Bar Louie has several exclusive promotions for fans. Guests can enjoy three items from the Bar Bites menu (Bavarian pretzels, fried cheese curds, Thai crispy calamari, spinach and artichoke dip, and chicken tenders) for $35. Bar Louie fans can also enjoy five domestic beers for $10, five imported beers for $12, or five High Noon Seltzers for $15.
Krispy Kreme
Just in time for the 2024 NFL football season, Krispy Kreme is partnering with Dr Pepper to release a new “roster” of doughnuts. The Dr Pepper Kickoff Doughnut is an original glazed doughnut piped with Dr Pepper-flavored frosting and features a Burgundy Sprinkle Blend. Additionally, the Buttercreme Goals Doughnut is dipped in green icing and topped with colorful sprinkles and a yellow buttercream-flavored goal post.
Little Caesars
Little Caesars is launching the 2024 season with exciting fan-focused promotions, including a two-week period of free delivery on orders through their app or website. The brand is also reviving its popular Pizza!Pizza! Pregame promotion alongside a new challenge program, offering rewards for gameday orders.
In addition, Little Caesars is partnering with several NFL teams — including the Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Francisco 49ers, and Tennessee Titans — to feature specialized branding and in-game activations in their local markets throughout the 2024 NFL season, according to QSR.
Popeyes
In its quest to become the “Official Wing of Watching Football,” Popeyes rolled out the new Sweet’ N Smokey Chipotle wing. The new item is finished with a touch of honey to balance the wing’s heat with sweetness.
Wendy’s
Wendy’s is fueling football fans’ watch parties with the Saucy Nuggs Party Pack. It features 45-50 all-white-meat chicken nuggets sauced to create seven unique flavors: Honey BBQ, Garlic Parm, Buffalo, Spicy Honey BBQ, Spicy Garlic Parm, Spicy Buffalo, and Spicy Ghost Pepper. Every watch-party-sized Nuggs order is served with ranch or blue cheese dipping sauces.
