(NEXSTAR) – A company that repackages M&M products with company names has recalled over 6,000 units distributed in 20 states that do not contain necessary allergen warnings for peanuts, soy, or milk.
Beacon Promotion Inc., of Eagan, Minnesota, issued the recall on January 26. On February 4, the FDA classified it as Class II, meaning “a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.”
The recall covers 1.3-ounce packs of Peanut M&M’s and classic M&M’s that were sold in promotional packaging with many labels.
The recalled repackaged M&M’s Peanut candies can be identified by the “Make Your Mark” label with lot code M1823200 and a “best by” date of April 30, 2026.
The regular repackaged M&M’s have one of the following identifying markings: the lot code L450ARCLV03 with a “best by” date of December 1, 2025; the lot code L502FLHKP01 with a “best by” date of January 1, 2026; the lot code L523CMHKP01 with a “best by” date of June 30, 2026; or the lot code L537GMHKP01 with a “best by” date of September 1, 2026.
They were labeled with the following promotional company names:
